Zurich Life Ireland (ZLAP) is looking for an Actuarial Trainee.
Naturally, we want graduates with a strong mathematical background. But we want
more than that: We want people that enjoy confronting problems, getting to the
heart of the issue, identifying the best mathematical tools to use, and then
producing the neatest solution.
As an Actuarial Trainee your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• Capital management
• Providing business insights
• Statistical & data analysis
• Providing actuarial & product support
• Complex policy calculations
• Providing IT solutions
• Risk management
As a member of the actuarial team, you will work in all of the company’s key areas, providing analysis and solving simple and complex problems.
You will have the opportunity to study for the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries exams and gain experience across all aspects of the company.
Your Skills and Experience
As an Actuarial Trainee your skills and qualifications will include:
• You will be a highly motivated graduate with strong problem-solving, numerical, and communication skills
• You will have achieved at least a 1:1 honours degree or postgraduate qualification in a course with a strong mathematical content, such as physics, engineering, maths, statistical or actuarial science.
Primary work location is Blackrock, Dublin. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
